Neighbors in the South Highlands neighborhood in Shreveport are warning one another to be on the look out for burglars. This comes after two houses were burglarized within 48 hours.

The first burglary occurred in the 4700 block of Richmond Ave. Witnesses say a white male removed the back window of a residence and made entry. When the owners of the residence returned home, they spotted the man running north on Richmond and turning onto Richmond Circle. When they entered their home they found the burglar had ransacked the inside looking for valuables. No report was given on what was taken.

The next day, witnesses reportedly saw a man fleeing from a home that is currently for sale. The thief removed a small window in the back of the house, and also broke into two storage units that are on the property.

Witnesses described the suspect as a white male, approximately 5’9″ wearing an orange and white hat. The suspect has a beard and weighs approximately 180 lbs.

In the wake of these crimes neighbors are urging one another to stay vigilant and report suspicious persons matching the description.
