SHREVEPORT, Mar. 5, 2018-
The Caddo Parish Animal Shelter (CPAS) will be offering free rabies vaccines to pets whose owners live within Caddo Parish. CPAS stated this initiative is aimed at “protecting the area’s pet population.”
The clinic will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at the Caddo Parish Animal Shelter, 1501 Monty Street, Shreveport, Louisiana. The clinic will be held from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.
CPAS issued the following statement about the clinic:
The first 500 Caddo Parish residents that attend the clinic will be eligible for the free shots. Shots will be given to dogs, cats, and ferrets. This year, the Parish will be providing 3-year rabies vaccinations. Once administered, these vaccinations provide protection from rabies for up to three years. Citizens are asked to bring a photo ID.
Attendees will also be eligible for a discounted $7 microchipping. Microchips help return lost pets to their owners.
