SHREVEPORT, Mar. 10, 2018-
The iconic Julie Anne’s Bakery and Cafe is the latest local restaurant to fall victim to a burglary. According to a press release from the Shreveport Police Department, the alleged burglary occurred on February 25, 2018, when an unidentified suspect smashed the window of the restaurant’s door with some type of tool and entered the building.
During the burglary, the suspect went straight to the cash register and made off with an undisclosed amount of money.
Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department’s Property Crimes Unit investigated the scene and secured a copy of the restaurant’s security camera footage, which showed the suspect committing the crime. The suspect, unfortunately, stayed out of view of the camera for much of the robbery.
The Detectives describe the suspect as wearing a mask, gloves, a puffy blue jacket, and blue jeans. The suspect fled in a gray Chevrolet four-door truck.
