Bridget M. Lee, 54, of Shreveport, went before Judge John D. Mosely Jr. and plead guilty earlier this week to one could of malfeasance in office.

Lee was a bookkeeper at Woodlawn High School, and was suspected of theft after a surprise audit revealed a cash shortage of more than $2,000 at the school.

Lee was convicted of one could of malfeasance in office, which is a felony, and was sentenced to 18 months of hard labor and 18 months of supervised probation. The 18 months of hard labor has been suspended.

Caddo Parish Schools stated that Lee’s conviction was the first for any bookkeeper accused of theft in the parish school system.
