The Shreveport Police department is asking for help locating a man they accuse of murdering another man Monday night.

According to a press release from SPD, on Monday night, November 21st, 2017, police officers were called to investigate a shooting that occurred in an apartment complex on the 2000 block of Bert Kouns Industrial Loop. Upon arrival, patrol officers discovered 29-year-old Marcus London, who was suffering from several gunshot wounds. London was taken to University Health for treatment but later succumbed to his wounds.

Detectives on the scene soon learned that an argument between the girlfriends of the victim and 21-year-old Jonathan Kelley may have been the catalyst that sparked the gunfight.

According to investigators, the two men were pulled into the argument and exchanged words before parting ways. A short time later Kelley allegedly went to London’s apartment and shot him several times with a handgun.

Detectives have successfully gotten an arrest warrant for Jonathan Kelley, who is being charged with Second Degree Murder. Kelley has a bond set at $750,000.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Jonathan Kelley can call Crimestoppers at 318-673-7373 or submit an anonymous tip online at www.lockemup.org.
