Michael Castleberry of Shreveport has been arrested after detectives accuse him of armed robbery.
According to Shreveport Police, the robbery occurred on January 23, 2018, on the 2000 block of Centenary Boulevard. The suspect allegedly made a phone call to Raeanne Ivy, a long time acquaintance, to ask for a ride home.
When Ivy arrived, Castleberry entered the vehicle, then forced Ivy to pull the car over and held a knife to her throat and demanded money. Ivy complied and the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed sum of cash.
Ivy called 911 and detectives from the Robbery Task Forced arrived and began their investigation. After interviewing Ivy, detectives were able to secure an arrest warrant for Castleberry.
After a four day manhunt, patrol officers took Castleberry into custody on January 27, 2018. He is charged with one count of Armed Robbery, and bond was set at $100,000.00.
