Last week, the video below was posted to YouTube claiming to show Bossier City Police officers arresting a man outside a local store.  The video appears to show the officers insisting with the suspect to stop resisting arrest, to which the suspect and the person filming reply that he is not resisting. While the arrest seems justified – the woman filming admits he stole some items from the store – there are some that will view this as police officers using excessive force to subdue to suspect. Here’s a great example of something going completely opposite of what was intended: Magnolia, AR, Mayor Parnell Vann sent a letter to city workers instructing to refrain from using social media to complain about City Hall issues.  Of course, the letter ended up on social media. Shreveport Pharmacy Burglary Caught on Video

Crime Stoppers needs assistance in identifying suspects from a buglary earlier this week. According to Crime Stoppers, at approximately 4:32 AM on August 23rd, video surveillance showed 3 suspects breaking into the Walgreen’s Pharmacy at the 3100 block of Line Avenue, across the street from Byrd High School. The suspects broke the glass panel of one of the entrances and climbed in. Upon entering, the suspects stole about $2,000 worth of narcotics from the pharmacy. Crime Stoppers is offering a $250 reward for information leading to the arrest of these three suspects. The Whataburger on Bert Kouns was recently  the scene of a nearly violent altercation between a customer and employees.
