Both Adrian Perkins and Lee O. Savage formally announced their campaigns for Shreveport mayor last week. The two events were like night and day. More like a dark, no stars, no moon night and a bright, no clouds sunny day. The only real similarities were that both candidates are men. Perkins announced at 11:30 am on Thursday, April 26 in a meeting room at a West Shreveport hotel. Police Charge One Man With Second Degree Murder After Thursday Night Slaying

Herman Woods, 50, of the 700 block of Austin Place, has been chared by Shreveport Police detectives with Second Degree Murder in connection to a shooting last night on the 200 block of Vine Street. According to a Shreveport Police Department press release, on Thursday, May 3, 2018, patrol officers responded to the 200 block of Vine Street to investigate a reported shooting. NJ School Superintendent Arrested For Repeatedly Pooping On School Grounds

A New Jersey School Superintendent is behind bars today after police accuse him of pooping on the school’s track, repeatedly. According to, Holmdel High School Superintendent Thomas Tramaglini, age 42, was arrested Monday after police discovered that Tramaglini had been repeatedly defecating on the school’s track and football field. On Monday, officers who were monitoring the area caught Tramaglini “in the act” and took him into custody. Local Cavalry Soldiers Complete Large Field Training Exercise

CAMP SHELBY, MS, April 14, 2018- Soldiers of the 2-108th Cavalry Squadron of the Louisiana National Guard conducted an extended field training exercise at Camp Shelby – an army installation in South Mississippi. Their focus during the exercise was combat deployment of their heavy weapons – mainly their crew-served machine guns like the M2 and the M240 – which are mounted to the top of their HMMWV scout vehicles. Alleged Regions Bank Robber Captured

SHREVEPORT, April 25, 2018- Shreveport Police officials have captured a man they suspect may have robbed a Regions Bank in the 6800 block of Pines Road on April 23, 2018. According to a Shreveport Police Facebook post, Mark Longenecker was arrested around 6:30 am on April 24, 2018, after patrol officers learned he was in a house in the 400 block of Olive Street.
