The Shreveport Mudbugs are off to a rocky start this season after losing to the Lone Star Brahmas tonight. The evening started off with a retirement ceremony fo Dan Wildfong, with his jersey retired above the rafters at Georges Pond.

The game began with both teams unable to connect. The Mudbugs were able to fend off the Brahmas for the first period, with the score at the end of the first 0-0.

During the second period Lonse Star was able to score twice against Mudbugs’ goaltender Gustavs Davis Grigals, with the Mudbugs trailing 0-2 at the end of the second.

Hoping for a rally in the third, the Mudbugs couldn’t stop Lone Star, who retained their lead and scored the final goal. The game ended up 0-3 for The Brahmas.

The crowd came out to support the Mudbugs and are looking forward to watching the Bugs bounce back tomorrow night. Saturday’s game starts at 7:11 pm in the Hirsch Collesium. Tickets are available at ticketfly.
