After months of legal battles Lyft, the ride sharing service based in San Francisco, has gone live in Shreveport.
The Lyft website now shows Shreveport under it’s cities served, and residents can visit it at https://www.lyft.com/cities/shreveport-la

To use Lyft, you will need to download the app and complete a profile. The whole process takes about 2 minutes. Then you will set your pick up location, and your destination. The app gives you an estimated cost, but depending on the time of day, the price may change.
According to an NPR survey, Lyft drivers make an average of $17.50. Plus, Lyft also prompts passengers to tip.
