On November 30th Shreveport Police officers responded to the Villa Norte Apartment Complex on Fullerton Street for a shots-fired call. Upon arrival, the officers found Lonnie Little, 36 years old, suffering from a gunshot wound to the ear. Crews from the Shreveport Fire Department treated Little on the scene.

Detectives from the department’s Violent Crimes Unit arrived at the apartment complex and began their investigation. They interviewed the victim as well as witnesses who reported that Leon Johnson, 63 years old and who also lives in the apartment complex, was responsible for the shooting.

According to the victim, Johnson was at Little’s apartment watching a football game. The two men began to argue and Johnson left the apartment, only to return a short time later with a handgun. Johnson fired at least one shot which hit Little in the ear.

After shooting Little, Johnson fled the scene on foot. Shreveport Police officers searched and located Johnson in the doorway of another apartment. He was arrested without incident and is now in custody at the Shreveport City Jail. Johnson is charged with one count of Aggravated Battery
