Former “X-Factor/The Voice” contestants Cole Vosbury, Dez Duron, and Willie Jones will perform at the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium grand re-opening on May 9 at 7 PM.

The historic venue, which has been closed for some time for much-needed renovations, is considered hallowed ground by many music lovers and historians.  The auditorium is registered as a National Historic Landmark.  During the 1950s, it hosted the popular Louisiana Hayride TV show, on which in 1955 a young Elvis Presley made his first television appearance.  Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, George Jones, and numerous other music icons also entertained crowds at the venue.  Cole, Dez, and Willie will have some 3,200 seats – and some big shoes – to fill.

The will be the trio’s first time performing together live.  The soulful Cole Vosbury was a semi-finalist on Season 5 of NBC’s “The Voice.  5 of his songs made it to the Billboard Charts during his run.  Dez Duron, a Season 3 “The Voice” veteran, made it to the top 8 on the show. The talented Willie Jones wowed crowds on the X-Factor with his surprising rendition of “Your Man” by Josh Turner.

Special guest Louisiana Attorney General Buddy Caldwell will perform a tribute to Elvis Presley, and other special guests will make an appearance.

The show starts at 7 PM this Friday. Tickets are $20 and are available at Ticketmaster locations or online at www.ticketmaster.com. For more information call the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium at 318.841.4000.
