Bartle

The owner of Shreveport business Wright’s Sound Gallery has been arrested on felony theft charges for taking thousands of dollars in payment for a Benton church for services and goods he allegedly never performed, according to the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Thomas Bartle, 67, of the 10200 block of Stonehedge Dr. in Shreveport, turned himself in to the Bossier Sheriff’s Office for accepting $13,000 in early February as the owner of the now defunct Wright’s Sound Gallery to provide and install three new televisions in the church sanctuary at Elizabeth Baptist Church in Benton. Bartle allegedly never performed the work, and church officials later found that his Shreveport business location had been vacated.

Bartle was booked into the Bossier Maximum Security Facility Thursday afternoon and released the same day after posting a $25,000 bond.
