Thursday, November 16th, the Caddo Sheriff’s Regional Training Academy graduated it’s 42nd basic training class after roughly 7 weeks of intensive training. The graduation took place at 4 p.m. Thursday, at Calvary Baptist Church, 9333 Linwood Avenue. Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator was the guest speaker.

The graduates have received more than 360 hours of instruction in several critical law enforce fields including law, patrol activities, traffic services, report writing, investigations, firearms, first aid, and criminal justice.

The 33 Cadets represented 11 different agencies from around Northwest Louisiana, including Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, three students from the Camp Minden Military Police and one cadet from Louisiana State University Shreveport Police Department.

The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office graduates will undergo a new deputy field training program and will then be assigned to the correctional center.
