The trial of Paul Lee Bedgood, 34, continues today in Caddo Parish. Bedgood is accused of sexually assaulting two sisters, both of which were under the age of 13. The District Attorney’s office says that the abuse continues for a decade.

The state prosecutors are expected to deliver their closing arguments against Bedgood later today.

According to a press release from the district attorney’s office:

Bedgood, 34, of Greenwood, is charged with aggravated rape of a juvenile under age 13 and an amended charge of indecent behavior with a juvenile under the age of 13. The aggravated rapes occurred between 2006 and 2009 and the indecent behavior about 2015 or 2016.

Judge Brady D. O’Callaghan is presiding over the trial. The Jury is made up of four men and eight women. If found guilty of the rape, Bedgood faces a life sentence. If he is found guilty of indecent behavior, he’ll face two 25 year prison sentences.
