Leon Stevenson of Shreveport was stabbed on December 30, 2017, after he attacked his female partner. According to police, the victim stabbed Stevenson below the right shoulder after he attacked her during a domestic dispute.

Shreveport Police units located Stevenson on the 6300 block of Tulsa Avenue. He was taken to University Health with “serious but non-life threatening injuries.”

After Stevenson was transported to the hospital, police officers discovered that the stabbing had taken place in the 8500 block of Range Lane. Stevenson reportedly fled from Range Lane to Tulsa Avenue after the incident.

Detectives from the Shreveport Police Violent Crimes and Domestic Violence Unit also responded to the scene and took over the investigation. After gathering evidence and witness statements, they determined that Stevenson was the aggressor in the attack.

Stevenson is currently still at University Health recovering from the stabbing but has been charged with Felony Domestic Abuse Battery, Simple Criminal Property Damage, a Shreveport Police Department warrant for telephone harassment, and a fugitive warrant out of Caddo Parish. Upon his discharge from the hospital, he will be moved to the Shreveport City Jail
