A Shreveport man has pleaded guilty to forcible rape and molestation of two juvenile victims, aged 11 and 16. The man, Jonas Jaggers Coffman, age 38, was set to start trial on Monday, December 11, 2017, but decided to plead guilty to all charges.

According to the Caddo District Attorney’s Office, Coffman raped one of the victims in August of 2013, and molested the other in January of 2012.

Upon pleading guilty, Caddo Judge John Mosely Jr. sentenced Coffman to 40 years in prison for the rape, and an additional 10 years for the molestation of a minor. He will have to serve the sentences concurrently without the possibility of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence.

Coffman was represented by two public defenders, and was prosecuted by Assistant DAs Ron Christopher Stamps and Sam Crichton.
