After a joint investigation between Shreveport Police Detectives, U.S. Marshals, and investigators from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, a Shreveport youth athletics coach is in custody facing two counts of Molestation of a Juvenile.

According to Shreveport Police, Samuel Brock, 55, who lives at the 4800 block of Dixie Garden Boulevard, allegedly molested a 16-year-old. Investigators were alerted to the alleged crimes through a tip that came to their Sex Crimes unit.

Brock was taken into custody in New Orleans on November 20, 2017, and was extradited back to Caddo Parish. He is currently in custody at the Caddo Correctional Center. The judge set his bond at $1,250,000. Brock is well known throughout Shreveport as an athletics coach for several schools in the area.

It has been falsely reported that Brock was a member of the Shreveport Rugby Club, but these reports are incorrect. Brock has never been affiliated with Shreveport Rugby.
